You're graduate, just completed certified course, want to earn some money, want to help family by earning in your extra time and if you're from India you've society pressure 'Beta Kya Karte Ho Aaj kal?'  Right?

How to get your first job

For all of your questions and pressure and confusion, there is only one answer, you need to work. But what you gonna do, how you'll get some work so that your current life still be there with weekend parties. This is where most of us is stuck and maybe they even don't try to solve this equation.

Today, I'll try to answer the question "How to get your first job" with my experience, in construction field.

Everyone can apply these tricks to get the Job however I'm writing this post, targeting construction people, civil background, engineers,(As my future posts will be related to that), to guide them how simple it is to get work, as you read, you should keep telling yourself you'll get a Job today.

My idea to Getting a Job is very simple, you need a client who can pay you for your efforts n hard-work, and use your skills in there fields. There is not necessary to get hired in a company and then they tell you to work for there client.

Think yourself as a great company which is specialised, in respective field and now you just need that person or a firm who is going to Pay for it.

Working with Clients in office

Sounds cool and simple, finding your best and to believe in  yourself will get you 'your first job'. Now you just have to find a client so you can show your skills to them make them realize they need to hire you to do there work.

First step towards getting the client is to Build your portfolio.

You need to show-case your work to them. If you’ve skill set and you’re specialized in your field so you’ve to display as no one is aware of your talent unless you’re famous. So before you start with your show, you need to advertise yourself and make good impression on who is looking at that advertisement.

In this digital world you need to create your digital identity which is more result oriented in short term in compare to mouth to mouth publicity (mouth publicity has its own benefits).

How to create your Digital Portfolio:

·       Create your CV:

This is the simple and most common way to start with.

You have collect all your life work and present it into one page with showing your positive attitude toward the work you’re willing to do for life time (Part time or Full time).

This page will introduce you to your clients and it will attract more people if you’ve done this with your full energy.

 

Create your CV for the first time

·       Sign Up on LinkedIN:

Most of you are aware of this website but if you’re not, This is nothing but digital CV that you’ve created on your laptop.

However this platform have an advantage that you can connect with like minded people, they can suggest you, help you, guide you, instruct you with how to get started to reach the success point, defined by yourself (In your mind).

·       Create your Brand:

Creating brand doesn’t mean that you need to go through the legal process, I’m referring to uniqueness. You’re already doing your work and similarly more people out there are doing same thing but if you’ve unique identity like branding or by giving a unique Name to your business will increase your chances in getting the job.

·       Sign Up for Google Business:

Google business is a free tool to list your business on Google, Also you can provide the area of your service so that if a local person search for you they’ll reach you easily.

For example, If someone search ‘Interior Designer in Barmer’, my Firm name show up on the first result and I get a client quickly.

Plus point of this App is, Google will provide you with a free Business website and also a simple format to make changes in it.

·       Create a Professional Social network:

Sign up for social media starting with Gmail account (Get a professional name) ,face book, twitter, Pinterest, Instagram.

Why you need social network? Social network will create a trust for you and your brand also you can keep updated about deal and offer or discount that you’re offering through out the year.

Keep sharing your good stuff that you’re doing/Going through while you’re completing your studies, Tasks, job, on regular basis and if you’re dedicated enough, you’ll soon get a sponsor for your business which will be boost for you to grow more and take more risks.

‘These are the simple trick which can ‘Get you your first Job’ and ‘Your First Client’. Now you need to explore yourself to provide them a service that is worthy enough for repeat customer or related customer from the 1^st client.
